The breakdown: By interviewing numerous individuals about the emotions felt when one is touched vs. not touched, I have come up with a list of 19 "high-touch" emotions and 19 "low-touch" emotions that correlate with this sensation. Next, I assigned specific "colors" that best communicate the emotion perceived. For instance, warm is assigned a warm orange-brown to communicate the sense of warmth etc. To somehow connect the emotions via the limitations of a book, I've decided to blend the colors/emotions in 19 equal steps. I usually don't make "feminine" composites, but I do have a feminine reference I desire to explore. I layered and composited around 10 images into one file. I then experimented with rearranging and blending modes to come up with multiple images that formed a series. The series is very interconnected due to its origination from one multi-layered file.
